goodbye el salvador...

A Walk
My eyes already touch the sunny hill.
going far ahead of the road I have begun.
So we are grasped by what we cannot grasp;

it has inner light, even from a distance-
and charges us, even if we do not reach it,into something else,
which, hardly sensing it,we already are; a gesture waves us on
answering our own wave...
but what we feel is the wind in our faces.
-rainer maria rilke

grasped by what i cannot grasp..
charged..

i will have to work backwards for the next couple of weeks to recount the events of the summer...

Wow, LOVE this! I too can feel that line, "Grasped by what we cannot grasp." So true and quite profound. Damn, I love good writing.

What a great summer! So glad you were able to go back to El Salvador and so happy you're home safe! Can't wait to see you in September!!
